The Chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata has given an in-principal approval for opening of a cancer hospital in Ranchi. State Chief Minister, Raghubar Das had sent a formal request earlier.
Tata's already have a cancer hospital in Jharkhand in Jamshedpur.
People of Ranchi and others in this part of the state will be greatly benefited once this hospital comes up. Ranchi also is better connected with other cities by air and rail. Firm details were not available from either the government on the Tata group but all are very hopeful that this hospital will soon come up. Senior officials of the Tata group have already had a high level meeting with state government officials.
