Jharkhand has come out with a unique scheme to promote construction of toilets under the Swachh Bharat mission. Brothers have been asked to gift a toilet to their sisters on the occasion of Rakhi this year. The government plans to promote this in a very big way. Special camps will be organised in 2234 panchayats from 10th to 18th August to promote this scheme.
Jharkhand Chief Minister has said that in the next three years he wants the state to be Open Defecation Free. May be other states can also replicate this programme or even undertake something else to promote "Open Defecation Free" conditions in the state.
